The implementation of the mentioned activity in the park is the obligation of the Park’s Administration, which it the organization operating the park. The park’s Cultural Council gives its agreement in principle to the conducting of cultural activities in the park premises.
Types of events
The criteria to be considered for conducting events in the park are as follows:
-The type of the event (cultural, social, business*, political*, etc.)
-The number of participants anticipated
-Technical requirements for the event
-The aim of the event (profit making, non-profit making)
* - Conducting business and political events at the park is not encouraged.
The number of people participating in any event is divided in the following groupings:
-Up to 200 participant
-From 200 to 500
-From 500 to 1000
Written consent of the Administration for organization of the events
A written consent of the Administration is not required for organization of non-profit-making cultural and social events, with less than 200 participants, and not requiring any special technical facilities, without the permission of the Cultural Council. Organization of events of any other type or format shall be consented in written by the Administration.
The Administration is authorized not to seek the Cultural Council’s consent for permitting organization of cultural and social events, with less than 500 participants, irrespective of the technical facilities required.
For all the events of any other type or format, not included within the stipulations above, a written permission shall be given by the Administration only upon the consent of the Cultural Council.
In order to receive a written agreement, it is necessary to present the complete documentation for the application for conducting events in the park to the Administration of the park at least 45 working days prior to the date of the event. The documentation shall include the following:
1.The completed application (it can be found on the park’s website: www.boghossiangardens.org/en/events or received from the Administration)
2.Program (not compulsory)
3.Copies of the Charter of Organization and the State Registration Certificate (for organizations)
4.A copy of the passport of the person responsible
Once all above mentioned documents have been presented, an acknowledgement will be sent by e-mail (if the materials have been received via e-mail) or post (if the materials have been received by post).
Within 30 working days after receiving the above mentioned documentation, the Administration must give the applicant a written reply concerning the application’s acceptance or refusal and the technical and other issues relating to the event. Should further documentation or details be presented which substantially alter the essence of the project, the 30 day deadline will begin from the acceptance of the amendments.
If the application is declined, then 6 months shall pass before the same application may be re-presented to the Cultural Council. The initiators of the proposal may present another proposal, if it substantially differs from the previous proposal.
